Millennial Living- the Alternative to HGTV ®

Moving does not have to be stressful

About 40+ million Americans move every year. Moving is stressful and costs you time and money. Changing your address should be the lof your worries.

About 262 million people resided in the US in 2000. About 120 million (46 percent) moved and lived in a different home in 2000 than they did in 1995 according to the US Census Bureau. Most people don't move too far though; actually about 53 percent of the population just stays put.

Of those that moved, about 25 percent move within the same county, while only 3 percent move to another country.

Percentage of People Moving

The 18-34 year olds comprise the major age group that moves. Once people reach their 50s, they tend to stay. Those that do move are heading south and west.

Easing the Pain of Moving
No matter what group you are in, you'll be under stress when you move. Everyone will need to make arrangements for the post office to either hold their mail and/or forward it to their new mailing address.

Now the US Postal Service makes that easy. You don't even need to go to the post office.

You can change your mailing address for yourself, for your entire family or your business. You'll need a social security card to change your address online or you can download the form and take drop it in the mail or at your local post office. This also works for a temporary move of less than 6 months.

What's nice about using this free service is that you don't waste time and money going to the post office. You also have access to coupons that will save you if you rent a moving truck, etc.

So what are you waiting for? Change your Mailing Address Online right now.
