We are referring to the Pegasus shower faucet SKU 574-583 L. We just used this Pegasus shower faucet for the first time tonight after waiting months for the custom shower to be completed.

It has MAJOR problems! And the Pegasus website no longer exists.

There are these setting rings inside to adjust the temp. At it's MAXIMUM setting, there is still way to much cold water and there is no flow control to control the amount of water either.

With our older faucets that were replaced, not only could we control the flow of the water, but adjust the temp, like in the winter turn the cold way down in order to get warm enough water to shower.

About the time I had shampoo in my hair, all that was left was cold water.

The cold water comes on full force and then adds hot to the high volume of cold water. We called the plumber back and his only suggestion was to install a shut-off on the cold water line to the shower to reduce the flow of cold water to the unit. Mark it for winter or summer flow settings.

The faucet is beautiful, but it's not worth 10 cents if it wastes water, can't give you a whole shower before freezing you out.

Pegasus is a foul ball all the way around as far as I'm concerned.

Good looks, solid brass, but very poor design and no adjustments to cut back on the cold water.

We do only keep our hot water heater at 120 degrees, and have always had enough hot water for three long showers back to back.
I had to finish my shower at the kitchen sink using the sprayer standing in a foot tub. Another $10 grand down the drain!

I should have stuck with the $49.95 special that had all the features I wanted instead of this expensive piece of junk.
