Are home remodeling prices dropping

Since we are technically in a recession, are contractors willing to reduce prices? Would live to hear from a contractor if possible or others experience.

This is a two edged sword

Many contractors are looking for work and may be willing to negotiate price. Be careful though.

Remember, contractors still have to pay workers, pay for materials and make a profit. If you take the lowest bid, a contractor may be tempted to cut corners in terms of materials and the skill levels of their workers.

In the end, you want to pay a fair price and get a good quality job.
