Good Leads to Federal Government Grants and Procurement

OMB Watch, a non-governmental organization created a new website called Welcome to FederalSpending.org. The new website provides small businesseses, non-profits and individuals with information on how the US Federal Government is spending your hard earned money.

This is really worth looking into if you are after federal work or grants or just wondering where your tax dollars are going. The website is named Welcome to FedSpending.org. It is very easy to use and provides a rich database from which to market the goods and services of your business.I think it is ideal for small businesses and non-profits who want to be a government contractor or subcontractor for some of the larger government contractors. It is also ideal for non-profits and individuals looking for federal grant opportunities.

The design of the website is simple, elegant and easily leads you to either the contracts database or the grants database. Once you are in the database you can sought it by year, company, state and best of all by Congressional District. You are also able to sought it by federal agency and how the contract is let out.

Armed with this knowledge you should be able to market your products and services to the companies and the agencies that are doig the work and reponsible for spending the money. The grants database works the same way. Here you are able to identify the top 100 recipients of federal grants. While history is not a forecast of future results, we think you can start discussions with a few of the recipients and start to market your services to them. Some may be wondering if the federal government site is worth visiting too.

We think if you are short of time, just stay with OMB Watch's Welcome to FederalSpending.org website. It does a much better job of presenting the information and will save you some time and money. However, you might want to also look at the official government website FederalSpending.gov. Let us know which one you find easier to use
