Is it possible to get the hardware (hinges) for old ikea kitchen cabinets? These are the old signature cabinets with the piece of wood that goes horizontally a few inches from the bottome of the door...the door that is in the corner that closes off the lazy susan has fallen off and the hardware is broken...any idea what I could use?

Hinges are available at IKEA & most home improvement stores
Mary Ann,
Glad to hear that you are not sending those old cabinets to the landfill! Those old IKEA cabinets are European style cabinets and you should be able to find the hinges at any home improvement store like the Home Depot, Lowes or your local hardware store. Of course IKEA sells them also.
Just to be safe take the door with you if possible. You might have to make some adjustments if the holes of the new hinges don't align exactly with your cabinet and door, but that's about it.
Take a look at the hinges at http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Navigation?Ntk=AllPro... and

Taking the door is a good idea
Thank you so much; taking the door is a good idea that I hadn't even thought about.
